Qeshm is the largest island in the Persian Gulf, renowned for its natural beauty and more recently for its designation as a UNESCO National Geo Park with its rocky coastlines that protects a mountainous and stunning interior.
Qeshm Island is located a few kilometers off of the southern coast of Iran (Persian Gulf), opposite the port cities of Bandar Abbas. This fascinating island has an abundance of wildlife, including birds, reptiles, dolphins and turtles and welcomes you with its friendly inhabitant.
A magical place to stay, days can be spent relaxing near the beach, tasting the local food, experiencing the local custom and listening to the great folk music. There are nearby islands like Hengam and Hormuz for local excursions where you can witness the diversity of the great Geo Park and its ancient geological wonders that will leave you, in wonder.
Arrival to Qeshm and check in to the hotel with free time to relax and enjoy the welcoming beauty of the island.
After breakfast our first visit is to Chahkouh Canyon.These amazing rock formations were created by water running through the valley at various speeds, resulting in fascinating twisted formations, deep holes and narrow passages.This spectacular series of valleys has an outstanding view and acoustic sound echo.
Continuing on to Namakdan salt cave and dome, which is located on the west of the island. These incredible salt caves are worth the visit.The gate keeper will give you head torches to enter the caves for the ultimate cave exploration experience.
Lunch will be at a local home, which is common on the island as they serve fresh sea food for travelers, a real local experience.
After lunch we visit the Hara Marine Forests (Mangrove jungle) with it’s vast mangrove tree forest providing a sanctuary for a majority of the world’s immigration birds in their annual migration season and a host of other marine animals.
On the way back to Qeshm, we stop off to visit the coastal Laft village. Over 2000 years old this beautiful picturesque village is a delight to see historical Iranian architecture, the traditional wind catching towers called badgir (like in Yazd) and the simplistic architecture of the old houses.There are ship making workshops here which are very traditional and so unique in its kind and are part of UNESCO Intangible heritage.
Our day begins after breakfast at the Shib Deraz port where we will take a ferry transfer to Hengam Island, an Island in south of Qeshm surrounded by soft coral reefs and silvery beach shores. It is here where it is very likely to see dolphins and purchase souvenirs from the local shops in the small fishing village on the Island.
Crossing back to the Shib Derz port and on to visit the quaint Shib Deraz village, a picturesque village in the Suza Rural Distract. One of the three main egg laying sites for the Hawksbill and green Turtles, this is a highly protected nesting area from late February to June as Hawksbill Turtles are a critically endangered species. This particular spot draws in many spectators during the nesting and hatching season.
Following the beautiful coastline to a main tourist attraction of Qeshm Geopark, Naz Island, where if we can catch low tide, you can walk across the soft sands seeing the colourful shells and coral bed however, at high tide it is impossible to picture it dry only a few hours before. If you choose to participate, it is a popular place for paragliding with a professional pilot, taking in the stunning aerial views over the clear blue coral seabed.
After you’ve come back to ground, its onto visit the geological natural wonder that is Valley of the Stars. A canyon of beautifully weird shapes in Stars valley sculptured by the majesty of nature 2 million years ago. The sunset view is stunning if we can catch it.

An early rise for a ferry transfer at 07:00for the forty-minute crossing to the rainbow Island of Iran which is located just south of Qeshm. A most fascinating, colourful, geological wonder island where there is a wide range of colorful sand. We explore the island via Took Took, which is a small local bike, the driver shows you around the island and stops by some places of interest such as a Portuguese castle, Statue Valley, Rainbow Valley and Nad Ali Museum. We will visit the local homes serving sea food for travelers for lunch.
In the afternoon the ferry will leave at 15:00 back to Qeshm where we transfer back to the hotel for a relaxing evening.
For the last morning there is the opportunity to experience recreational diving with the American PADI standards in Persian Gulf or free time to relax and explore the local area.
After lunch we will transfer to the airport for the flight back to Tehran.From there a driver takes the passengers to IKA, for their international flight.
