We collect you from your hotel or home at 09:00 and start the day by driving directly to Termessos Ancient City. The drive is approximately 110 km and has some beautiful views on the way.The ruins are high up in the Taurus mountains and the last part of the road is by foot, a 15-20 minutes walk and although a bit tiring when we get to the top it is most definitely worth it. The theatre is considered to be the most ideally situated ancient building in Turkey, and all the ruins are embedded in the national park surrounded by beautiful pine forest. Many rare plant species can be found in this national park and Termessos is a candidate for UNESCO's world heritage list.
Moving on from here we drive back down from the mountains to the city center of Antalya, a big, modern and very beautiful city where we will walk you through the picturesque old town of Kaleiçi taking in the ambience of old buildings and have lunch in one of the local restaurants.
After lunch we take a walk down to Antalya harbour, one of the most beautiful in the Mediterranean surrounded by the old town and high cliffs.
For the remainder of the afternoon choose between a couple of hours free time in the city centre or join our guide for a visit to the Archaeological Museum of Antalya. This museum is one of the best of its kind in Turkey where you will see fascinating exhibits from archaeological sites found all around the Antalya Province.
After our visit to the museum we drive back to Side.
