Collection is from your hotel or home at 09:30 and we head on the Antalya road where the drive from Manavgat is approximately 1 hour to Köprülü Canyon National Park.
Our first stop is by the Roman bridge that has given the name to the national park. We continue to drive high up to the ancient Roman city of Selge where we take a tour through the isolated Roman ruins that are rarely visited by tourists and practically untouched by archaeologists. Laying on the southern slope of the Taurus Mountain this was once a very important city holding up to 20,000 people and today the ruins and the panoramic setting are just stunning. After visiting Selge we continue to visit Adam Kayalar (the Human Rocks) – an area famous for fascinating stone formations reminding of big humans.
We continue to Tazi Canyon, a deep canyon found in the northern part of the national park where we walk for around 20 minutes to reach the best view point taking in the breath-taking scenery. After the walk back we drive down to the Köprücay river where we stop for lunch and relax taking in the serenity of the river and beautiful natural surroundings. We have some free time if you are brave enough to try swimming in the ice cold waters before we drive back to Manavgat.
