Collection from your hotel or home at 09:00 and traveling to the areas east of Alanya, where we first visit the beautiful ancient town of Syedra, perched on a hillside with stunning views of the Mediterranean Sea and Alanya's lush banana plantations. It dates back to the 9th century BC and has a rich history and culture. Some of the attractions of Syedra are:
-The columned street, which is the main thoroughfare of the city and has a length of about 300 meters. It is lined with shops, houses, and public buildings. The street also has a drainage system and a mosaic pavement.
- The bathhouse, which is one of the oldest structures in the city and has a complex plan with different rooms for hot, warm, and cold baths. The bathhouse also has a hypocaust system for heating the floors and walls.
- The council house, which is the administrative center of the city and has a large hall with benches and a podium for speeches. The council house also has a mosaic floor depicting Heracles (Hercules) and his 12 laborers.
The town is located in hilly terrain, so be prepared to climb some stairs.
After this stop, we travel on to Sapadere Canyon, a beautiful national park where we hike in the mighty Sapadere Valley. It is a karstic formation that was created by the erosion of limestone rocks by water, ice and wind over thousands of years. The canyon is 750 meters long and 400 meters high. A stream runs through and there are natural pools where you can take a refreshing bath. Sapadere Canyon is not only a place for nature lovers, but also for culture enthusiasts. You can visit the village of Sapadere and see the traditional life of the locals. You can also see the silk weaving workshop, the water mill, and the mosque in the village. After lunch in the village we travel into Alanya and you will have some time on your own in the area near the Red Tower (those who wish can join a guided walking tour).
